Fishing Report June 6, 2013

With windy conditions once again this week we only had the one opportunity to get offshore last Sunday.

The Bar wasn,t pretty but once outside conditions were quite good.

Most species bit really well but there were too many undersize fish ratting our baits.Small Reds and 2 at a time Squire between 32 & 34 cms.

The future supply of these species looks very  healthy.

Travelling to an area not fished for about 12 months produced a good catch of Squire,Pearl Perch , Parrot ,Hussar, and some Big Moses Perch.

A trip out tomorrow is looking like the only one for the Long Weekend as the winds again freshen on Saturday.

Lets hope a return to the Winter Westerlies is not far away.

I havn,t heard of any reports of Fishing from the Straits this week.

All I know is that the Mud Crabs are still being potted.Further Nth towards the top end of the Straits I have heard that people are sick of eating Crabs.

If you are planning that trip to DIPoint please check the rocks first as more vehicles have come to grief lately.
