Fishing Report 5 Dec, 2013

We had another nice day offshore yesterday, before the Northerlies return
today, to be followed quickly by another Southeaster.

Our first drop yielded some nice Squire, but the undersize Squire forced
us to move on. Fishing grounds we had not fished for 6 months was a bit of a lottery, but
we managed to pull some School Red Emperor.

Other species included Pearl Perch, Parrot, Maori & Gold Spot Cod, Hussar,
Moses Perch & Rosy Jobfish. One Whaler Shark was brought to the Boat
and others were seen basking in the Sun- What a life.
Wayne at Rainbow Beach tackle told me the Big Trevally are still being landed at
Inskip Pt along with Whiting & Flathead from the front beach.
Mud Crabs are still being potted in the Straits but a big rain is needed to flush
these out.The water is to clear for good Mangrove Jack Fishing also.

Till next week, Good Fishing.
