Just the 1 trip offshore this week, with a good catch for this time of year.
Conditions were nearly perfect, but with current out wide fishing was on the closer reefs. The catch consisted of Snapper, Frying Pan, Squire, Moses Perch, Parrot Maori Cod and Cobia.
Even though water temp have risen, it's great to see Big Snapper still about on the closer grounds.
The Sandy Straits are still producing reasonable catches of Sand Crabs and Whiting. Mangrove Jack are going well up the creeks. (Take plenty of Repellent)
Just remember the closure on Barramundi is also starting on 1st Nov so don't be caught out on the 3 month closure.
Till next week-Good Fishing.
